چکیده

We theoretically study circular dichroism of chiral molecules embedded inside a helicity-preserving Fabry-P\'erot cavity. find an increase the intrinsic chiroptical response by 2 orders magnitude and report first clear signature cavity polaritons upon entering regime strong light-matter coupling. design based on two dielectric photonic crystal mirrors acting, in narrow frequency range, as efficient polarization cross-converters transmission for one almost perfect reflectors other polarization. show that Pasteur medium hosted such can couple efficiently to both outside mode, inheriting enhanced character. expect device be useful future ultrasensitive sensors optics stereochemistry.

Plasmonic Fabry-Pérot nanocavity.

We experimentally demonstrate a novel, all-plasmonic nanoscopic cavity exhibiting Q-factors up to 200 at visible frequencies. The Fabry-Pérot type resonator uses tall metallic fins that reflect up to 98% of incident surface plasmon to concentrate light within a subwavelength cavity mode. High aspect ratio metal fins, constructed using lithography and electroplating, reduce surface plasmon scatt...

Geometric phase and o-mode blueshift in a chiral anisotropic medium inside a Fabry-Pérot cavity.

Anomalous spectral shift of transmission peaks is observed in a Fabry-Pérot cavity filled with a chiral anisotropic medium. The effective refractive index value resides out of the interval between the ordinary and the extraordinary refractive indices. The spectral shift is explained by contribution of a geometric phase. The problem is solved analytically using the approximate Jones matrix metho...

Fabry-Pérot-based surface plasmon resonance sensors.

A new sensing approach based on the use of an optical Fabry-Pérot (FP) cavity in conjunction with surface plasmon resonance (SPR) is proposed and theoretically investigated. The impact of the SPR on the intensity and phase response of the proposed sensor structure is evaluated using a modified FP model that takes into account the SPR effect. Compared to the conventional optical-phase-detection-...

Photoacoustic tomography using orthogonal Fabry-Pérot sensors.

Fabry–Pérot sensors have been used to produce in-vivo photoacoustic images of exquisite quality. However, for ease of construction and interrogation, they are produced in a planar form. Planar arrays suffer from a limited detection aperture, which leads to artifacts in the reconstruction of the initial pressure distribution. Here, an L-shaped detection geometry is described that allows a greate...

Transformation optics with Fabry-Pérot resonances

Transformation optics is a powerful tool to design various novel devices, such as invisibility cloak. Fantastic effects from this technique are usually accompanied with singular mappings, resulting in challenging implementations and narrow bands of working frequencies. Here in this article, Fabry-Pérot resonances in materials of extreme anisotropy are used to design various transformation optic...
